ACEC Minnesota Engineering Excellence Awards 2027: deadline, fee and how to enter
The ACEC Minnesota Engineering Excellence Awards are the state round of ACEC's national program. A winning project can advance to the national competition, whose deadline is January 6, 2027.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Preliminary entry due | Thursday, October 8, 2026 |
| Final entry and fee deadline | Thursday, October 29, 2026 |
| Entry fee | $1,100 per entry for member firms; $2,200 per entry for non-members |
| How to submit | Online, through ACEC/MN's EEA submission portal |
ACEC Minnesota runs this in two steps: a preliminary entry first, then the full submission and fee payment by the final deadline. Confirm the current packet on ACEC/MN's page before you plan. Re-verified October 3, 2026: both deadlines and both fee tiers unchanged.
How to plan backward from the deadline
- Pick one project that fits the criteria and has a result you can prove.
- Gather the facts and sources first. Use our project facts checklist.
- Ask the owner for a short quote and for approval to use it, well before the deadline.
- Leave several days for your team's edits before you submit.
Want help drafting it?
AEC Awards Desk drafts the entry narrative from the facts you send, written to the program's criteria and limits, and you review, edit and submit it yourself. It is $495 for one entry, or $395 a month if you want your calendar kept current and entries drafted all year, and the first three firms see the full draft before they pay. Not sure which project to enter? A $95 fit check ranks up to three, credited toward a $495 entry if you buy within 30 days. See pricing or email hello@aecawardsdesk.com.
